Rome Eos Female Choir composed of girls of between 16 and 24 years old, started their activity in 1995 as Children choir “Primavera”. The choir is conducted by Fabrizio Barchi in cooperation with Mario Madonna. The repertory includes pieces of several historical periods from Middle Age to nowadays, focusing on the contemporary one. The choir participated with success in many national and international competitions and it carries on an intensive concert activity throughout Italy. 

Eos Choir has recently published its own collection of the most representative pieces recorded during its live performances.  


  

OUR CONDUCTOR, FABRIZIO BARCHI

Fabrizio Barchi studied at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music of Rome, and his teachers were R. Baratta, D. Bartolucci, A. Renzi; he has also attended courses held by F. Luisi, A.Zecchi, J.Jurgens, P.Neumann and G.Graden. He started his carreer as a choir conductor in 1979: since then he has been conducting choirs both in musical associations and in schools. He is currently also conductor of Musicanova choir, Iride choir, Primavera children’s choir, and the High School Choirs “Primo Levi” and “Enriquez” in Rome.

With his choirs he has been awarded several prizes in regional, national and international competions (Arezzo, Gorizia, Maribor, Tours, Vittorio Veneto, Roma, Rieti, Battipaglia, Vallecorsa). He has contributed as choir conductor to the realization of some operas, and to the recording of movie soundtracks with composers as Ennio Morricone and Marco Frisina. He is vice-conductor of the musical chapel of St. Giovanni in Laterano, artistic director of the festival “Corali a Roma” and holder of the chair of Choral Conductorship and Choral Repertory at the Conservatory L.Perosi of Campobasso.
